Having a location 90 minutes or less from an international airport is a good thing when it comes to vacation property values. Buyers are attracted to very accessible properties and seasoned investors know that you’ll be hard pressed to find any major hospitality brands operating projects located further away. Add golf property to the mix and you may be looking at a master-stroke.
For developers, a golf course serves to support the marketing effort and raise project land values. For property investors, despite its higher costs, golf property can have superior rental prospects. This is particularly the case in Central America where year-round golf is possible.

One key resort not mentioned above is located on the beach in Nicaragua – with the only existing (not just planned) golf course other than the municipal golf course in Managua – is Hacienda Iguana (www.haciendaiguana.com). Beautiful resort still developing but has a 9 hole golf course, restaurant, condos/townhouses/homes, great surf, and beautiful landscape.
