Marea Alta was a planned Pelican Eyes community at Paradise Bay just south of San Juan del Sur on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast. The master plan called for 80 ocean view villas set into a hillside, resort amenities and a summit lift (or “tram”) for transportation on the site. The development team decided to suspend the project in 2009.
